France West Coast - Calais to Avranches

The building of the Bayeux Cathedral was begun in 1047 but it wasn't consecrated until 1077. It was dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption. There have been many Bishops in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bayeux and Lisieux since that time and some are remembered here.
